Mollie Manson, Head Coach
Mollie Manson comes to NSC with seven years of competitive rowing experience, and two years of coaching experience. In 2004, Mollie started her rowing career at Forest Hills Northern High School, in Grand Rapids, MI. She continued on to row at the collegiate level for Grand Valley State University, where she to earned three consecutive National Championship titles.
Mollie later returned to Grand Rapids to coach her former high school team, Forest Hills Northern. During her two years at FHN, the team grew to nearly 100 athletes, and had two consecutive all-time best seasons in team history; the team’s successes include earning two State Championship titles, various team points trophies, and placing in the top 10 at the Canadian Schoolboy. Mollie reluctantly parted ways with FHN Rowing to move to Chicago in 2015.
Mollie believes that high school rowing is a method to improve athleticism, while effectively teaching the importance of teamwork and accountability.
